In October there will be a national Work-in-Progress symposium for doctoral students of English in Sweden arranged by the Department of English at Stockholm University. Participants are encouraged to send in texts to be commented on by two other doctoral students and one supervisor. I see this as a great opportunity not only to get fresh feedback on the first complete draft of my first article, which I hope to have written by then, but also to make new contacts at other English Departments in Sweden. It will sure be interesting to see if anyone is working in computer-mediated communication. Hope so!

Both literature and linguistics students are invited to take part in the symposium. I
