Following flying feathers
The perhaps most beautiful tune of the evening is quite clean. The contributing sounds are the didgeridoo, the flute, the drums (here the drums played a minor role) plus a female and a male voice, describing the journey of a bird. We get to follow the bird as it flies high and low and the musicians capture the speed of the bird in the different passages of the song. The lyrics of the song (which are in Swedish) are stylistically interesting and full of word play. All words of the lyrics begin with an ?f?, and there are several contradictions in the song (for instance the two last words of the song are ?fridfullt” (peaceful), “fartfyllt? (speedful). This tune is written by Kristina Andersson who also did a very good job as the female voice in the performance of it.

Wonderful music.
Maybe you could leave out the clapping afterwards. The samples are rather short, so it would be nice if you let us hear as much as possible of the song. Just an idea for next year. Because I presume you are already preparing for the next market?

Thanks for your comments Hetty! We’re going to evaluate this year’s project and take it from there. It sure would be nice to get a second try, though, to be able to make use of what we have learned from our experiences this year.
You’ll be able to hear more of the music when we send the whole concert later (we still have to check a few things up before we can put it up on the blog).
