I am Coppélie Cocq and I am a postdoc researcher working in HUMlab with the mediation of Sámi narratives online.
I am deeply honored to receive the Vaartoe / Cesams scholarly award given by the Center for Sámi Research (CESAM) and the Sámi Parliament, for what is described as my “extensive and diverse research on Sámi storytelling, involving tradition in a cultural revitalization processes on the Internet”.
I will give an open lecture about my research on Wednesday, entitled “From the Campfire to the Network – Sami folklore and storytelling tradition on the Internet” (in Swedish). Details of the program are available here.
Everyone’s very welcome to attend!
