HUMlab will host a conference on “Critically Making the Internet of Things”, December 8-9. Should be very exciting.
Among invited international speakers are Lisa Gitelman (NYU), Bruce Sterling, Matthew Ratto (University of Toronto), Christian Lindholm (Fjord), David Zahle (BIG), Johanna Drucker (UCLA), Anne Galloway (Victoria University of Wellington) Chris Speed (Edinburgh College of Art), Molly Wright Steenson (Princeton) and Martijn de Waal. Local speakers/participants include Haibo Li (Applied Physics and Electronics), Johanna Björklund (Codemill) and Tim Hutchings (HUMlab). There will be an art performance by MASH (Magnus Alexanderson and HUMlab Artist in Residence Sachiko Hayashi) and the program includes talks as well as workshops, a visit to the new HUMlab-X, and activities both on the main campus and the new Umeå Arts Campus.
