Next week we have the pleasure of welcoming Cathy Davidson, Duke University, and Kenneth Wissoker, Duke University Press, to HUMlab. They will spend a few days in Umeå, and I encourage you to take the opportunity to meet them in the lab and attend the seminars (see below). They are both very interesting people!
Cathy Davidson is John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Ruth F. DeVarney Professor of English at Duke University. She has published a large number of books including Revolution and the Word: The Rise of the Novel in America (Oxford University Press, 1986) and The Future of Thinking: Learning Institutions in a Digital Age (with David Theo Goldberg, MIT Press, 2010).
Kenneth Wissoker is Editor in Chief at Duke University Press, and well-known and highly respected voice on the state, future and “how-to:s” of academic publishing.
